How Can I Get Out of a Timeshare That I Was Misled (Lied) Into Buying?
My wife & I purchase a timeshare 3 months ago and after reading through the 5 inch folder , the cost is not what they said it would be & the guidelines are not what we agreed too. It is too late to cancel (thats what they say) even the free gifts we had to pay a service fee.We have not used it & will not , not even the so-called free gifts. Please help, their CEO & President will not help us. Thank You
If you paid for it with a credit card you can dispute the charge..give the credit card company a call..if not…..your screwed…….we purchased a timeshare 20 years ago in Cancun…..we were very careful and did our homework……it worked out well for us…….buyer beware……..sorry….
no as what was said is all sales talk. You should have read the folder and understood what you were signing. If you did not do this then they may have misrepresented what they were doing but you are the one who made the fatal mistake in all of this by not using your head and reading every thing through before signing your names
To be blunt, you need to consult an attorney, not Yahoo Answers. You may be able to get out of the contract if you can prove that the company used deceptive practices in selling, but that would have to be decided in court. If the company has a history of unscrupulous practices it would help your case.
you should have read the 5 inch folder BEFORE you signed
you are SOL now
there isn’t much you can do. You actually did have a period of time to review and cancel the information. I
Buyer Beware and you were not. You are stuck with the payments forever.
You signed the agreement, and that’s all that .counts. You should have read the agreement BEFORE signing. You are now bound to what you signed. Sorry, but that’s another expensive lesson learned.
