How Do I Get Rid of a Timeshare I Have Had for Over 10 Years?
I have pd upfront fees multiple times to sell with no offers. I have offered to donate the time to charity with no takers. I offered it back to the resort for nothing and they refused to take it. Annual fees have more than doubled and are now causing a hardship. At 66 I do not want to saddle my son with this when I die. What can be done?
Your story sounds like many others out there.
You should work with a timeshare transfer company aka a timeshare relief company that will transfer the timeshare deed out of your name. These companies work for a fee, which for some is substantial, but over the long haul end up saving their clients a lot of money in maintenance fees and special assessments that they no longer have to pay.
Go with a company with an established track record of helping people get rid of their timeshares. Go with a company that shows you who they are and are proud of what they do. If you don’t see pictures of the people running the company on their company website, walk away. From the good ones, get some free information at least.
