I know how you feel, it took us 5 years to get ours sold. The developer bought it back for 10 cents on the dollar.

You might try Vacation Rentals By Owner: http://www.vrbo.com/

I have heard of some being sold that way. If I am correct there are web sites that sell time shares: http://www.sellmytimesharenow.com/buy-sell-rent.php?OVRAW=Sell%20my%20timeshare&OVKEY=sell%20my%20time%20share&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=5878440022&OVKWID=51534097022

I can’t say one way or the other since I sold mine before the internet became popular.

God Luck and don’t fall for any phoneys.

My mom and dad but it took them quite a few years to do it. They were wondering if us kids would get stuck with it.

Nice answer Looney I really loved it.

To resale or rent a timeshare is a hard task, the basic rule is not to pay money up-front, don’t be another victim of a scam. There are some free classified adds where you can post it and get some results:

We went to Timeshare Relief and paid $3500 to get rid of our two timeshares. No one wants to buy anymore as they know that their heirs will be stuck forever with them. RCI is letting others get their place for less than we pay them.

I sold mine with http://www.buyatimeshare.com about 2 years ago. i was lucky that I owned a Manhattan club and there seems to be some demand for timeshares at that location.

I have heard many stories about timeshares not selling however I look around and some people are just unrealistic. I mean selling a timeshare in Branson for 20k, come on who’s going to pay that.

Timeshares sell based on Location and price those are the only factors that come into play when selling a timeshare. You own the same property as thousands of other people no one is going to buy yours because your priced higher.

So if you really want to sell make sure the company is doing what they say. If they say they advertise find out where and check it out. I know buyatimeshare is on top of all major search engies when I was investigating timeshares.

When you do find that company you want to go with make sure to price appropriately with similar timeshares. Being the best price is always the best option.

Your going to take a lose on you property just suck it up and get out.
