I'm Going to a Timeshare Today, They Are Offering a Free Gift? Do I Have to Buy a Timeshare in Order to Get It

It’s for Wyndham Resorts, two nights + airfare to Vegas for two people paid. No obligation buy. Sit through a 90 minute speech and get the free prize. Seems too good to be true, is it?
What’s the catch?
I’ve heard they’ll offer you "vouchers" instead on actual plane tickets….I’m just SO sceptical.

No you dont have to buy but they will put you under high preasure and sometimes bring out the manager who will try every trick in the book to close you.

You don’t have to buy to get the free gift, but the sales presentations are VERY tempting.

Bring a friend, and leave your credit cards and checkbook in the car.

Dates and times for the trip are limited. Usually only during weekdays and the flight may be early morning.

The catch is that they will put you in a very uncomfortable position with a very high pressure sales pitch that the majority of people cave into. It will be a very rough couple of hours. The voucher should be good, though it will be hard to use.

A lot of timeshare offers normally do hotel accomidation and free tickets to a theme park without buying a timeshare just having to go listen to it. So if that works I believe the this one would be true as well.

Expect it to be high pressure. You don’t need to buy to get the free gift. Time share is the new Vegas, be careful. I haven’t heard of one that would be worth it for what I can afford.

You do actually get vouchers for the trips; my husband and I attended several over the years and have not bought a timeshare yet. We have received 4 days in San Diego (hotel & airfare free); Same to Sedona; and Denver. They are totally legit, but you do have to listen to the presentation for about an hour or so.

It’s actually NOT a gimmick which is really surprising…

I just started working for shell vacations club and we give out the same gifts and you dont have to buy anything. the reason we give them is in exchange for your time…now are they going to try to get you to buy something? YES! BUT just say no and at the end of the 90 minutes you get your free gift and you’re on your way.

I give out everything from cruises, to orlando vacations, to disneyland tickets, etc. AND its hard to believe because of the percieved value of these "gifts" but in actuality those 2 tix to vegas probably only cost them around 20 bucks and the nights at the wyndham prolly around 80 …..but we think its actually like 80 a night plus airfare when its not

    HAVE FUN IN VEGAS!!!!

The announcement makes it look as though you will get something valuable for nothing. But that is not true. You will have to earn it by sitting through a long sales pitch, often of more than two hours, and frequently using high pressure tactics. For that, you will earn the cheapest of the "gifts" listed.
And YES, you don’t have to buy.
