Selling Timeshares in Mexico Job

If already in Mexico with an FMT, do they do a background check when applying for an FM3 in Mexico? ?
I have a sub par criminal record with even possibly a bench warrant out for some unpaid tickets and am about to get a FM3 for a job in Cancun selling timeshares. Will this effect anything? I know in the states they do background checks when applying for one while in the states.
