What Are My Rights as an Independent Contractor?
I am an independent contractor and sell timeshare property. All of a sudden the developer is saying that he can hold our commissions for a year. Also if we leave the company that he only has to pay us 1/2 of the commissions. Is this legal?
You need a written contract signed by the developer, if this was a verbal agreement when you first started selling for him, he can do anything he wants
